Court Simulation-
start: Research/Term Paper- Identify a research or term paper to write about Select a topic from a chapter we discussed in the class. Identify the topic of interest, and research or give a real life example that covers each topic. Example: Say that you are interested in law enforcement and select that as a topic. What about law enforcement that interest you the most? You become interested in police patrol and go on a ride along with a law enforcement agency. Write about the experience, and relate your experience with the role of the police in society (chapter 6). Cover the points in the chapter and match them with your experience in the ride along.
due: Paper due: How is Crime Measured- Write your paper of 500 words or more explaining your understanding of how crime is measured. Explain, UCR,NCVS, and any Data collection methods. Use examples in your paper. The assignment is of your original thoughts, so take the definition from the book and relate it to crime measurement.
Court Simulation-
Write about your position in the court simulation. Present your arguments that the prosecution and defense brought examined in this case. This is you time to add to those arguments, and explore areas of the constitution, probable cause or other points in the trial that each side might have missed.
Reflection- Court Simulation
What was your experiences with the court simulation. Rate your experience on a scale from 1- 10 (10 being best) and express what your experience was and would you recommend other students who follow you experience a court simulation.
