AJ 002 Criminal Law Concepts

COURSE DESCRIPTION: This three (3) unit blended learning details the historical development and current application of criminal law and related constitutional provisions. Focus is on major crimes against the person and against property. Capacity to commit crimes and affirmative defenses are also covered.

Student Learning Outcomes

STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES: Upon completion of the course the student will be able to:
1. Identify and discuss the origins of criminal law;
2. Identify and discuss the classifications of crimes and their punishments;
3. Identify and discuss sources of criminal law today;
4. Define intent and describe the types of intent which must exist to constitute a crime;
5. List and discuss four of the six exceptions to the rule that all persons are capable of committing crimes.

Use your best judgment based on condition of the text and shipping time. Many students are able to purchase the earlier additions for $5.00. The sooner you purchase the text the better.
